An Idea That Became an Association
The idea for SEAS emerged during the Peradeniya University alumni Diamond Jubilee gathering in 2017. After a period of limited progress, the initiative was revived during an alumni family gathering in 2023.
A 15-member core group subsequently developed the constitution and submitted a registration application on 13 August 2024. SEAS was officially registered in May 2025.
