Ethos & Purpose

Why SEAS?

Because engineering careers grow stronger when knowledge, experience and community are shared.

Many Sri Lankan engineers have contributed to Singapore's development and have chosen Singapore as their home.

Their collective experience represents a valuable source of professional knowledge, technical capability and community leadership.

SEAS aims to bring this experience together in a way that benefits engineers at different stages of their careers.

For established professionals, the association offers opportunities to share knowledge, discuss developments in engineering and contribute experience to the wider community.

For young and early-career engineers, SEAS aims to provide a support system through learning activities, professional connections and mentorship. Such support can help members understand the engineering landscape in Singapore, explore career development opportunities and learn from the experiences of others.

SEAS also recognises that professional relationships are strengthened through personal connections. Conferences, seminars, gatherings and community activities create opportunities for members and families to develop friendships and a sense of belonging.
